Cooking Classes

Learn how to cook authentic Indian, Mexican, American BBQ and Korean dishes

in a fun, friendly environment - our kitchen!

Small groups, hands on, perfect for beginners and competent cooks alike.

Our classes are for groups of 4 - 6 people, and start with a cup of tea or coffee upon arrival and a chat about ingredients and the dishes we are cooking. After a few hours of cooking the classes end with everyone sitting at the table, feasting on what we have cooked, drinks included. Recipe sheets provided.

In an Indian class

Chai/coffee upon arrival, an introduction to Indian spices, their uses, where to buy and how to store. Learn how to make naans or chapatis, grind spices, make a curry paste, cook fluffy, fragrant rice, make a homestyle chicken (or vegetarian) curry, and a healthy, tasty tadka dal. We can also cook starters, snacks and street food items such as bhel puri, onion bhajis, samosas and in the summer months we cook some of these items outside on the BBQ.

4 hour class, 50 euros pp

In a Mexican class

Tea/coffee upon arrival, a chat about Mexican chillies and other ingredients. Discover the flavours from different regions of this vibrant country. Learn how to make corn tortillas from scratch, make different salsas using Chipotle chillies, fresh tomatillos, and of course we make a guacamole. Some of the dishes we cook, depending on the season:  quesadillas, tostadas, chicken tinga, fish tacos, chicken salsa verde, Mexican rice, beans.

We make a BBQ rub and sauce, then we cook the ribs and chicken in charcoal BBQs, along with a turkey breast, or perhaps chicken wings and also cook sides such as BBQ beans and potato salad.
