Habanero lovers, this recipe comes from the Yucatan, Mexico It is so simple - 7 large habaneros blended with the juice of 1 lime and 1 orange plus a pinch of salt. The citrus really brings out the fruitiness of the habeneros. It is hot as hell and painfully addictive! Great on eggs when you need waking up in the morningš¤£š¶
Recipe from one of my favourite cook books- Yucatan by David Sterling. We were recommended this book by our AirBnB host in Merida. Our host was friends with the partner of the late David Sterling and he very kindly delivered the book to our accommodation. Little did we know how large and hefty the book was, we lugged it from Mexico and all round Texas! Totally worth it though and I have since ordered his other, equally delightful book Mercados
